DBDocuments

Writing a text is easier with basic tools, like the Windows Notepad, but some texts must be typed in advanced editors like MS Word. It would be inappropriate to present an official document without adjusting its paragraph settings or inserting a few references. DBDocuments works the same way as advanced text editors, but it is much more comfortable to use, it has a better looking interface, you can apply different themes and more. You can use it to save documents the traditional way or store them in a secure database.

Although the setup file is only 274 Kb large and it can be downloaded fast, the setup process will take a bit longer. An installation of MS .NET Framework 4 is required to run the software. If you have it already, you can run the program immediately. It is compatible with all popular Windows versions and its system requirements are not high.

DBDocuments resembles MS Word in almost every way. A series of options are organized on separate tabs on the toolbar and you can use them to change the font or paragraph settings, insert tables or pictures, add hyperlinks, references and more. If you take a better look over these options, you will notice that they are organized better than in a MS Office software.

To prevent your documents from being spread all over the hard drive or accessed by someone else, you can save them in the program's database. The option can be found on the toolbar, under the File tab, and you only need to click it once. Your document will be saved immediately and you can access the database with another toolbar option, under the same tab. This will bring up a small window, where you will find a list of your saved documents. It is possible to load a document immediately, by selecting it and clicking a button on the upper area of this small window. You may also back up the database, under the Backups tab, on the same window. Simply click a button and it will be backed up.

DBDocuments is capable of importing text documents, in any format, including .doc, .docx, .txt, .dat and many more. If you have worked with MS Word in the past, you can still access any document you have created. Your work can be converted to PDF files as well. It can be done in an Office program as well, but you need to install a virtual printer for this. With DBDocuments, there is no need to install anything. You may convert your document to PDF in a few seconds, by clicking an option on the toolbar.
